Kathleen Fraser introduces Audre Lorde, citing Diane di Prima. Lorde reads a selection of poems from her then forthcoming book New York Head Shop and Museum: "To My Daughter The Junkie on a Train," "My Fifth Trip to Washington Ended in Northeast Delaware," "Oya," and the long poem, "Blackstudies." She ends with mention of Clifford Glover, a ten-year-old African American boy who was shot and killed by New York City police, and reads a new poem entitled "Power."
