Amy Berkowitz and Caren Beilin: October 18, 2019

The Poetry Center presents Amy Berkowitz and Caren Beilin, reading at E.M. Wolfman Bookstore in Oakland, CA. Jacob Kahn of Wolfman Books is host, and provides introductions. Berkowitz reads from her book Tender Points (Timeless, Infinite Light/Nightboat Books, 2013/2019) and from the "Afterword" to the new Nightboat Books edition. Beilin reads from Blackfishing the IUD (Wolfman Books, 2019); in addition, Tamara Wilder, founder of IUDAwareness.org, reads from her contribution included in Beilin’s book. The event, doubling as a book launch for Blackfishing the IUD, occurred as part of LitQuake 2019. Preceded by a reading the prior night at The Poetry Center, this was the second evening of a double-program in The Poetry Center's In Common Writers Series, supported by the Walter & Elise Haas Fund.
