Jennifer Bartlett and Denise Leto: February 20, 2020

The Poetry Center presents Jennifer Bartlett and Denise Leto, reading their work and engaging in conversation, for the first in a two-evening event in the In Common Writers Series. Bartlett reads from her books Hindrances of a Householder (Chax Press, 2018) and (A) Lullaby Without Any Music (Chax Press, 2012). Leto, with Rose Giannini co-voicing, reads from mostly unpublished work, some from her manuscript titled The Body Is a Wild Summons. The two poets then engage with one another in conversation, and respond to questions from their audience. This event was co-presented with The Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability, at SF State. The In Common Writers Series is supported by the Walter & Elise Haas Fund.
