Beverly Dahlen, Holly Prado, Flora Arnstein: April 4, 1974

The Poetry Center presents Holly Prado, Flora Arnstein, and Beverly Dahlen reading from their work. Prado, visiting from her home in Los Angeles, reads from the span of her poems. Arnstein, who a year earlier had read for The Poetry Center from her best-selling book Children Write Poetry, and who in the early 20th century had co-founded the independent Presidio Hill School (originally called the Presidio Open Air School) in San Francisco, reads from her own poems. Dahlen, who had worked as one of The Poetry Center staff, reads from the manuscript of her soon-to-be-published first book, Out of the Third (Momo's Press, 1974). Kathleen Fraser, Poetry Center director, makes the introductions, at San Francisco State University.
