Kay Boyle: December 10, 1975

The Poetry Center presents Kay Boyle, reading from her poetry, as well as a short story. On the faculty of Creative Writing at San Francisco State University, Boyle reads from her collection Testament for my Students, 1968–1969 (Doubleday, 1970), written during and after the SF State Student Strike and the Faculty Strike in support, in which Boyle was an active participant. She is introduced by Poetry Center director Lewis MacAdams, who cites her autobiographical work, co-authored by Boyle and American modernist Robert MacAlmon, Being Geniuses Together, 1920–1930 (MacAlmon's book was published 1938, and reissued in 1968 by Doubleday, in a new second edition with supplementary chapters written by Boyle).
