Indian occupation of army base near Davis continues

KPIX's Ben Williams reports from an army communications camp seven miles West of Davis on November 4th 1970, where a group of American Indians is continuing its recent occupation of land. An Indian spokesman confirms there has been no official reaction yet to their presence and agrees with the assessment of a reporter who comments: "It's been a pretty friendly take over so far."

Carl Gorman well known artist, his son, also an artist, UCD Professors, David Risling, Jack Forbes, is who I remember, who were supporters of DQU, Tom Sims a teacher of Black Elk College on the campus of DQU, beautiful times, I wonder where everybody is, some passed, and of course we are all getting older.

Paul Ortega singing and Frank Lee from UC Davis, I wonder if that is Marie, Frank Lee later worked at DQU Director of the Native American Language Program, Paul Ortega a well known singer. most of the people there were from UC Davis, California tribal members and chicahos, I later came in 1971, there were the Davis brothers, Cuny Dog, Elaine, Skip, Big Marie, alot of Chicanos, Linda Lopez, Rangel sisters, Mad Dog, Little Richard, and many more.
