KPIX-TV news footage from May 14, 1971 featuring a press conference held by Hopi Indian representatives, who are bringing a law suit against the strip mining of land near their reservation in the Four Corners region. Hopi elder David Monongye states: "I was very glad to learn that many people had responded to our cause ... I hope something will come out of it, so that we may not destroy our mother Earth ... This 16mm reversal print was re-scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in October 2024.
