KPIX Eyewitness News report from April 17th 1979 featuring scenes of the Point Reyes Light newspaper staff, as they celebrate winning the Pulitzer gold medal for Meritorious Public Service. This was in recognition for their series of exposès and editorials about the Synanon cult. Includes interviews with with jubilant co-publishers David and Catherine Mitchell. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
This 16mm color reversal film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in January 2023.
