KPIX-TV documentary film from c1964, narrated by John Caple, about the re-discovery in 1963 of Juan Bautista de Anza's (1736-1788) mortal remains in the Church of Nuestra Senora de la Ascunsion in Arizpe (Sonora, Mexico). Includes a summary of de Anza's expedition from Mexico to San Francisco Bay and many scenes of local people relaxing and working in Arizpe, which is referred to as the "mother of San Francisco." This film was written and produced by Caryl Coleman and directed by Dick Williams, with a musical score by George Alexander.
