Includes scenes of huge crowds celebrating in Chrissy Field and a montage of archival footage from the 1930s, showing the ground breaking ceremony on February 26th 1933 and bridge construction during the mid 1930s. Also includes reports featuring: interviews with people who witnessed the bridge's opening in 1937; views from the Slice Blimp above the bay; the tall ship Jacqueline; a flyover by antique biplanes and interviews with singer Tony Bennett and Mayor Dianne Feinstein.
