Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who states he disagrees with Stokely Carmichael's belief that violent struggle is needed to achieve racial equality. He does, however, acknowledge that: "The young militants are in the revolutionary spirit. And they are concerned about revolutionizing certain values ... that need to be revolutionized." King also goes on to criticize: "The vacillation and ambivalence of white America on the whole question of genuine equality for the black man."
