When I see this footage, it makes me proud I joined the BPP.  When I speak of the legacy of the BPP, it all in this film clip. We served the people body and soul.  I was there working that day. The food giveaway was in my section, in East Oakland the Havencourt area at Greenmen field.  Old time Oakland folk still talk about the time the Panthers gaveaway all that food.
