Includes interviews with a bemused police officer Donald M. Scott (covered in pie), columnist Herb Caen and others guests arriving on the scene. Note that Scott was appointed as San Francisco's Police Chief in 1971.

Thanks for this newsfilm throwback 50 years to my wide eyed introduction to the wild, wonderful world that is San Francisco. I was a newby free lance reporter from Ohio working for KPIX Television News. The job led to a 50-year career mostly in the Bay Area but eventually to CNN and assignments across the US and overseas. It was also the start of my love  affair with the most exciting and beautiful city I had ever known.
