Stanford: A Sentimental Journey

A KRON-TV special program commemorating the 100th anniversary of Stanford University, presented by Jerry Graham on May 12th 1987. Includes interviews with pioneering alumni and faculty that include: Dr Norman Shumway (heart transplants); Dr Paul Berg (gene research); Dr Sally Ride (first woman in space); Bill Hewlett; Dr Sydney Drell; Dave Guard (and The Kingston Trio); Jim Plunkett (quarterback for the Oakland Raiders); Sandra Day O'Connor (Supreme Court judge); Senator Alan Cranston; David Harris; Ken Kesey; Russ Dilts and many others. Also features archival photographs including a shot of Dianne Feinstein on a golf course (25:13) and film which is used to relate the college's history from it's foundation in 1887 by Leland and Jane Stanford, to the present day.
