San Francisco State: picketing and mounted police on 19th Avenue

KPIX-TV news footage from January 30, 1969, featuring scenes of students picketing on 19th Avenue at San Francisco State College, then being pursued and arrested by mounted police. This is followed by views of riot police moving against protesters gathered outside Ecumenical House, who throw bottles at the advancing line and shout: “On strike, kill the pigs!” According to the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, there were a total of 400 police officers present, approximately 150 demonstrators and 3 arrests were made.
