KPIX news footage from January 27, 1966 with reporter Jim Anderson featuring scenes from a press conference given by Stokely Carmichael (c1966) about the Lowndes County Freedom Organization, in which he defends the group against accusations of millitancy and responds to questions about their point of view on violent resistance. During the press conference Carmichael refers to the Alabama Democratic Party as "corrupt" and "racistic" and says that "it has to be smashed." Ends with silent views of the press conference. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
