Judge Cecil F. Poole on prejudice and racism (Updated over a year ago)
KPIX Eyewitness news footage from January 13th, 1970 featuring a press conference by prominent African American lawyer and federal judge Cecil F. Poole discussing the Black Panther Party. Poole says, "I am concerned about the aspect of a Panther investigation that is not simply an objective thing but has the overtones of racism and politics." Poole says that it is often difficult to separate the country's prejudices from the actual criminal investigaton at hand and declares that he does not want to be a part of it, prefering to look at each incident on a case-by-case basis and judge it accordingly.
