Brown announces the Panthers' Anti-War African Liberation Voter Registration Survival Conference due to take place on June 24, 1972 at the Oakland Auditorium, and due to include a giveaway of 10,000 free bags of groceries, 10,000 sickle cell anemia tests, and a voter registration drive. Seale discusses the impact of the Black Panther Party's community initiatives, or "Survival Programs," and says that the Panthers are planning to increase the programs "on a massive, quantitative scale," especially if they take City Council seats in the upcoming election.
