About This Item

KRON News footage from September 2nd 1968 featuring views of William H. Grier & Price M. Cobb walking down Fillmore Street in San Francisco (between McAllister and Turk), with reporter Art Brown. They are discussing the issues raised by and impact of their recently published book about African American civil rights, called 'Black Rage'. It should be noted that ABC produced a TV special about this book in 1969 called 'To Be Black'. Thanks to historical researcher and consultant Paul Lee for positively identifying the location where this news footage was shot.

Does anyone know if the ABC Special, "Being Black" is available?

Gwiz, its ironic that Richard Milner and Tariq Nasheed ultimately led me to remember these two

This interview should be resurrected and shown repeatedly on national television with opportunities for a national dialogue in response! It's as if William Grier and Price Cobbs are describing the situation in 2015, not 1968--FORTY-SEVEN YEARS AGO!
