KPIX Eyewitness report from February 15th 1967 in San Francisco by Wanda Ramey featuring a visit to the Bayview Community Center. She interviews staff, who explain the building dates back to 1888 and describe the services they offer, which include: Planned Parenthood classes with Ruth Williams; neighborhood and housing development and daily pre-school classes for between 30-50 children. When Ramey expresses concern about poor lighting in the building one spokesman acknowledges the need for many repairs, which also include replacement doors and patching of gunshot holes, which were made by police firing into the building in September 1966, during the social uprising. Includes silent views of Ruth Williams teaching a class, of the repair issues which need fixing and of children playing.
