He is specifically referring to the building of 79 low cost housing units in West Oakland that will be constructed entirely by minority contractors, with non-profit sponsorship coming from the local Minority Contractors Association. He states that: "This is the first time in this country that the Minority Contractors Association is the sponsor of one of these types of projects." Please note: the TV news camera was slightly out of focus, when originally filming this interview.
