KQED special program from 1970 by Bill Yahraus, featuring coverage from a 3 day teaching conference about ecology and population issues, at Cubberly High School in Palo Alto (CA). Includes scenes of debate with faculty and students and speeches by: David Brower (Friends of the Earth); Clark Bradley (California State Senator); Donald Aitken (John Muir Institute); Stephanie Mills (Planned Parenthood); Mrs Margaret Scott (United Parents Under God) and Barry Weisberg (Bay Area Institute). Also includes views of live performances by Ecology Action Theater and folk singer Stan Stamper. This event was coordinated by Donald Aitken, Claire Boissevain and James Harding (co-chair of the student Committee, who is shown introducing David Brower). This film was produced by Virginia Duncan, with sound by Peter Hobe. It should be noted that Cubberly High School, located at 4000 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto, opened in 1956 and was closed in 1979.
