Scanned PDF copy of a draft script for KQED's documentary film The Rejected, written by John W. Reavis, Jr. on March 9th 1961. This work in progress is prefaced by a letter from KQED's Program Manager Jonathan C. Rice to NET's Director of TV Programming Donley F. Feddersen. In the letter, Rice states: "Enclosed is the latest version of THE REJECTED. There is still alot of work to be done and some changes to be made." It should be noted that this 18 page version features material that never aired in the program's first broadcast on September 11th 1961. This includes a scene in the "Black Cat Cafe" described on page 5, with the owner Sol Stouman.
