KPIX Eyewitness News footage from July 12th 1967 featuring scenes of Muhammad Ali speaking about his name, religion, stance on the Vietnam War draft an support for charity, at a boxing authority hearing. Ali was banned from boxing for three years on June 20th 1967, for refusing the Vietnam Draft and states: "I'm not here to be a hypocrite or a phony, I'm just here not to compromising my religion. I'm not here to beg to box." Also includes views of former world heavyweight boxing champion Sonny Liston describing his second fight with Ali. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
