Raw KRON-TV news footage from December 23rd 1992 featuring scenes of Belva Davis interviewing poet and activist Janice Mirikitani, at the offices of Glide Memorial United Methodist Church in San Francisco. Mirikitani discusses Glide's long-term goal to help communities through providing human services, support groups and job development programs. She also talks about poverty, drug addiction, fundraising and reflects on the sheer diversity of Glide's extended family: "I think this place is very empowering for all people ... people see that they can come together, no matter what their differences. And affirm those differences, yet work to help each other." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
