KTVU news footage from April 1968 featuring brief scenes from a press conference with composer, pianist, and bandleader Duke Ellington (1899-1974), at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral. Ellington had performed 'A Concert of Sacred Music' at Grace Cathedral which premiered on September 16, 1965 and states he is "honored" to still be an advocate ("messenger boy") for the cathedral. This press conference might be related to his Second Sacred Concert performance, which premiered at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York on January 19, 1968.
