Forgotten Angel

KRON-TV special report from 1971 written, produced and narrated by Ray Taliaferro about the history of Angel Island in San Francisco Bay, which he describes as the: "Sometimes tragic but always meaningful tale of the Forgoten Angel." Includes many aerial views of the island and shots of wildlife, plants and derelict buildings and descriptions of: Mexican rule of Angel Island (1822-46); U.S. ownership of the the island from 1846 including military garrisons there; the Asian Immigration Station which opened in 1909 and the smallpox quarantine of 1910.
