Forgotten Angel

KRON-TV special report from 1971 written, produced and narrated by Ray Taliaferro about the history of Angel Island in San Francisco Bay, which he describes as the: "Sometimes tragic but always meaningful tale of the Forgoten Angel." Includes many aerial views of the island and shots of wildlife, plants and derelict buildings and descriptions of: Mexican rule of Angel Island (1822-46); U.S. ownership of the the island from 1846 including military garrisons there; the Asian Immigration Station which opened in 1909 and the smallpox quarantine of 1910. This program was edited by Bob Schafer, with camerawork by Al Topping. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
