Mini-Skirt Teacher Faces Dismissal

KRON-TV news footage from June 2nd 1967 featuring an interview with Nancy McGlone, an English teacher at Pacifica High School in Pittsburg, CA who is facing dismissal on the grounds that she was wearing a "mini-skirt" in class. She is initially interviewed wearing the skirt in question, which runs down to her knees. Also includes an interview with a representative of the school district. It should be noted that despite being cleared of the charges brought against her by school authorities, McGlone was not re-instated at Pacifica High School. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
