KPIX News report from November 8th 1966 in San Francisco with Pat O'Brien, featuring views of incumbent Governor Pat Brown (pictured with wife Bernice Layne Brown) voting for himself on the morning of the Californian gubernatorial election. Brown is seen giving a press conference in which when asked about the possiblity of losing, he responds: "These are things we don't even contemplate. Victory is all we know." The camera follows him playing golf at the Olympic Club and visiting with some voters. Also includes views of incumbent State Attorney General Thomas Lynch voting for himself and of his Republican challenger Spencer Williams playing golf. Ronald Reagan went on to win this gubernatorial race by a landslide, with just over 6.5 million Californians voting, which was approximately 57% of the registered electorate.
