Selections from the KNTV newsfilm shot logs produced on September 28th 1966, relating to the Bayview Hunters Point social uprising in San Francisco. Includes bulletins covering: the patrolling by National Guard units of the neighborhood; the arrest of Dr. Carlton Goodlett; comments from Governor Pat Brown and Ronald Reagan; the State Attorney General's Office renewing calls for the development of specialist weaponry to use on citizens engaged in civil unrest, such as tranquilizer guns; the hot weather and a curfew imposed by Mayor John Shelley. One of these bulletins reads: "A check in with San Francisco Police ... They describe the 18 block area of Third Street as jungle warfare." Note that KNTV was an ABC affiliate in 1966.
