As President Richard Nixon is battling to retain the Presidency following his impeachment, Jackson reminds his audience that: "The absence of Nixon is not the presence of liberation ... The absence of evil is not the presence of good ... If we are to be a free and loving and civilized people, it would be because of something that we affirm."
