KPIX News footage from October 22nd 1970 with reporter Pat O'Brien featuring scenes from a press conference in which a note left under the windshield wiper of a Rolls Royce at the Ohta family home is read out to reporters, as part of an ongoing murder investigation: "Today World War III will be brought to you by the People of the Free Universe." Another law enforcement spokesman refuses to speculate about the motives of the killer based on the contents of this note and Santa Cruz County Sheriff Doug James announces that John Linley Frazier is a suspect in this case. Also includes views of the funeral of Dorothy Cadwallader in Santa Cruz and a press conference by District Attorney Peter Chang. Note that John Linley Frazier (aka The Killer Prophet) was convicted of this crime and eventually hung himself in jail on August 13, 2009. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
