Willie Brown Show: High Cost of Prescription Drugs

Willie Brown invites Duke Rodriguez, representative of Diagnostics, Inc., Peter Johnson, CEO of Agaron Pharmaceutical Products, and Dr. John Meyer, Chief Pharmacist at the Cancer Center at U. C. Davis Medical Center to discuss the high cost of prescription drugs. Meyers argues prescription drugs are outrageously expensive and prohibitive. Johnson argues the high cost is necessary and wrapped up in the all of the regulatory approval involved with producing the drugs. Rodriguez claims a lot of the cost of the drug comes from the drug representatives selling the higher priced brands, making labor a large part of the cost.
