Willie Brown Show: Term Limits

About This Item

Willie Brown invites Stockton Assemblyman, Dean Andal, Senator David Roberti, and Tehachapi Senator, Don Rogers, to debate setting term limits, something Willie Brown refers to as a "personal disaster and complete chaos." Andal, who voted for California Proposition 140 (November 1990), which limits the number of terms that California state senators and representatives can stay in office, feels elected officials were not representing the best interests of the people in California. Rogers, also a supporter of term limits, describes elected officials "talking right but voting left," which he suspected was a result of being in office too long.
