Joann Murphy describes her experience working with Willie Brown, recalling Brown’s efforts in AIDS research, in which California became the first state in the nation to put its own funds into AIDS research. Waters discusses how one of Willie Brown’s greatest achievements was bringing prominence to women in politics, citing herself as an example.
