Overview of the California Economic Summit held in Los Angeles, CA in 1993 at the Biltmore Hotel. Organized by Speaker Willie L. Brown, Jr., nearly 500 of California's influential leaders and economists gather to address the most pressing issues with the economy. Issues include jobs, education, taxes, and business practices. Experts in the fields of business and economics, government, and labor propose ideas to resolve the issues and revive the California economy. Features excerpts from participants including: Willie L. Brown, Jr.; Governor Pete Wilson; Robert Arnold; Arthur Laffer; Frank Cruz; Stanley Zax; Antonia Hernandez; Angela Glover Blackwell; Mickey Kantor; Peter Ueberroth; John Vasconcellos; Jack Henning; Jerry Howard; John Garamendi; Wendy Lazaris; Steve M.
