San Francisco Dons Victory Parade (1956)

KPIX-TV silent news footage from 1956 featuring scenes from a victory parade for the University of San Francisco's Dons mens basketball team, which has just won its second consecutive NCAA title (in an unbeaten season). There are views of the players and students riding through San Francisco neighborhoods to City Hall and then downtown along Market Street, past crowds of cheering people and onlookers. Also includes a close-up shot of Bill Russell doffing his hat to the camera and smiling.
