Bay Sunday - Stranded Whales, Kadeem Hardison, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir

KPIX Bay Sunday show from September 3rd 1989 with Jan Yanehiro featuring items about: two stranded juvenile whales (Nicholas and Alexander); an interview with actor Kadeem Hardison and a report on the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir and interview with their director Terrance Kelly. The stranded whales item includes scenes from an Eyewitness report by Liz Gonzales and an interview with Marine World Africa USA animal trainer Cecilia Pleshakov. Kadeem Hardison talks about his character of Dwayne Wayne in the poplar TV series 'A Different World' and also about being a role model and celebrity. Terrance Kelly discusses the founding of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir in 1986, at Living Jazz's Jazz Camp West and explains how people of different faiths feel comfortable singing together in the choir. There are also views of the choir rehearsing with Kelly and then performing at Stern Grove in San Francisco. This episode was executive produced by Ron Lorentzen.
