Los Siete Press Conference

KPIX-TV news footage from November 10th 1970 featuring scenes from a press conference by Los Siete de la Raza, at which Rodolfo Martinez reflects that: "We're living in times of turmoil, you know, and people always talking about the hate and aggression against the police establishment. But if they would only realize that this is only a cause, you know, this is only the symptom of somthing bigger." This statement is offered in the context of Martinez commiserating with Jessie Brodnik's loss of her husband Joe and claiming that although Los Siete have been acquitted of his murder, the police department is still portraying them as "cop killers". Martinez also lays the responsibility for Brodnik's killing on Brodnik's partner Paul McGoran, whilst expressing his feeling that McGoran will never be indicted.
