KRON-TV news footage from May 7th 1965 outside the courtroom of Judge Leo R. Friedman in San Francisco, who has ruled that topless dancing in North Beach clubs does not violate U.S. obscenity laws. However, the owner of the off broadway club Voss Boreta (1934-2013) has just been informed that the Alcoholic Beverage Control Department has filed separate charges against him for allegedely violating liquor license laws. His attorney Melvin Belli is shown standing next to Boreta bitterly complaining about these new charges, saying if this news is correct: "That is persecution."
