KRON-TV news footage from September 25th 1975 featuring scenes of former NFL Most Valuable Player John Brodie interviewing San Francisco 49ers linebacker Skip Vanderbundt. He's asked to comment on an upcoming game with the LA Rams and describe what it's like to play regularly against NFL stalwarts such as Larry McCutcheon, Bob Klein and Jim Harris. Vanderbundt ends with the admission: "I'd just like to beat 'em one of these years!" Three days later the 49ers lost to the Rams 23 to 14, on September 28th. Note that Vanderbundt was selected by the 49ers during the 1968 NFL Draft and played for them until the 1978 season. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
