Protest at Nystrom School in Richmond Unified School District

KRON-TV news footage from August 15th 1969 in Richmond CA (East Bay) with reporter Frank Johnstone featuring views of a protest by parents over the Nystrom School, at the administration building of Richmond Unified School District. Also includes interviews with a protestor - who explains their main demand is that members of the community should help pick a new school principal at Nystrom School - and with a spokesman for Richmond Unified School District - who states that following school integration, the trend appears to be mostly that African American children are choosing to join schools which used to be predominantly made up of caucasian pupils.
