KPIX-TV news footage from September 7th 1977 with reporter Tim Findley featuring a commemorative piece on the 50th anniversary of the first ever electronic transmission of a television picture, conducted by inventor Philo Farnsworth at his 202 Green Street laboratory in San Francisco. Includes views of the Green Street lab, a brief visit to Foothills College in Los Altos, where a permanent Farnsworth exhibit has just opened and an interview with Farnsworth's wife Elma "Pem" Gardner Farnsworth (1908-2006), who reflects on her late husband's character and sense of his own place in history.
