KRON-TV news footage from June 23rd 1966 featuring brief views of a press conference with Timothy Leary (1920-1996), in which he talks about the impact of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) on popular cutlure, stating: "What's going on in the United States today is, in my opinion, nothing less than a religious renaissance. And I want to say right at the beginning that the LSD boom is just beginning." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

It should be noted that a bill signed into law in California on May 30th 1966 - which outlawed the manufacture, sale and possession of LSD - went into effect on October 6th 1966.
