Sirhan Sirhan held in isolation cell at San Quentin

KPIX-TV newsfilm footage from September 10 1970 featuring scenes from an interview with the Associate Warden of San Quentin state prison Jim Park, who is asked to describe events surrounding Sirhan Sirhan's recent confinement to an isolation cell. Inmate Sirhan is on death row for the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy. Park states that a request Sirhan made to use a telegram service was denied (a decision which Park endorses) and goes onto explain how: "Sirhan has been a little bit edgy because of all this situation with his mother flying back east and so forth. So yesterday he got in a pretty bad mood. He would not return his food tray after the 2 o'clock meal ... he would not come out of his cell. And so they used some tear gas to bring him out non violently." Park goes on to say that Sirhan is currently being held in an isolation cell, pending a disciplinary hearing.
