Godfrey Isaac states that Sirhan Sirhan's gun did not kill Robert Kennedy

About This Item

KPIX-TV news footage from September 26 1975 with reporter John Lester featuring scenes from an interview with Sirhan Sirhan's attorney Godfrey Isaac (1925-2015). In August 1975, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to re-examine ballistic evidence which had been used in Sirhan's 1969 trial to help convict him of the muder of Senator Robert Kennedy and Thomas Kranz, an attorney, was selected to review this case. Seven ballistic experts from around the country were gathered for a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing, fired Sirhan's gun in September and also examined the evidence bullets. Isaac is being interview with this review still pending and states that: "I believe that a bullet from the muzzle of the gun held in the hand of Sirhan did not kill Senator Kennedy." It should be noted that the experts reported back on October 6 that they could find no evidence to suggest that other guns were involved in the shooting of Kennedy. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
