M. Justin Herman joins Mary Rogers on a picket line

KPIX-TV news footage from February 11 1971 with reporter Ed Arnow featuring scenes of the Head of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency M. Justin Herman joining a picket line outside the Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill in San Francisco, which is protesting against his agency's plans to displace residents from the Western Addition neighborhood. Herman is shown stood next to community activist Mary Rogers (1926-2006), also known as the mother of the Western Addition, who founded the Western Addition Community Organization (WACO) in 1966 and filed a lawsuit against the Redevelopment Agency.
