Assembling the TV Archive's Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, via Zoom

Brief scenes from September 28 2020 of resident Television Archivist Alex Cherian assembling the TV Archive's new 6.5K Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner. This was supervised via Zoom video link by CEO of Galileo Digital Steve Klenk, as San Francisco State University's campus is currently observing COVID-19 restrictions. Includes views of the Optical Module being connected to the scanner.
This new scanner was purchased with generous support from the Friends of the J. Paul Leonard Library and after the full installation and training program is completed (also via Zoom), it will enable us to transfer our 16mm film assets in full frame 4K progressive scans.
