A newsfilm compilation film reel produced by KPIX-TV, comprised of scenes in the Bay Area from the early 1970s featuring marches, rallies, protests and speeches by women who are pushing for universal sexual equality. Includes a press conference with feminist writer and activist Betty Friedan (1921-2006), a speech by American union organizer and civil rights activist Aileen Hernandez (1926-2017) and interviews by Ch.5 reporter Ron Magers on the sidewalk in San francisco with women who don't share the same opinions as their more socially progressive sisters
In early 2020 Movette Film Transfer of San Francisco remastered the 16mm film elements used to produce this compilation reel in 2K resolution (2048x1556 pixels), using a Lasergraphics film scanner. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
