KPIX-TV news footage from 1966 with reporter Pat O'Brien featuring scenes from a press conference by the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), in which they are asked about the political signficance and potential outcomes of a visit to the Bay Area by civil rights activist and organizer Stokely Carmichael. They explain it is hoped this visit will galvanize local black leadership and also help to "unite the black community." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
